Kaitlin is a graduate of Tigard High School and has a bachelor’s degree in theater arts graduating from University of Oregon in 1997. Olson after her college studies she moved to LA to pursue her acting career. She got her first debut in 2000 making an appearance on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. This was her first step to set up an impressive career portfolio. She made several guest appearances in shows and films including The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Miss Match, Punk’d, Family Guy, The Drew Carey Show, and Out of Practice.
2004, she was cast as Deandra “Sweet Dee” Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In the first season of the Comedy Central animated series Brickleberry, she provided the voice of Ethel. In the FX series The Riches, Olson portrayed Hartley Underwood, the “one-armed” neighbor, in a recurring role. She voiced Destiny in Disney’s Finding Dory in 2016, as well. Olson portrayed The Mick, a sitcom on Fox. She was cast as Cricket Melfi in the film Flipped, for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. She has appeared in numerous films, including Leap Year (2010), The Heat (2013), Vacation (2015), Finding Dory (2016), and Arizona (2018). In 2022 and 2024, she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.
