Adelayo Adedayo is a British actress born and raised in Dagenham, London. She studied law at Brunel University and trained part-time at Identity School of Acting. Her Film debut was in 2011 in Sket. One of her significant early roles came in the popular British series “Some Girls” (2012-2014), where she portrayed Viva Bennett. This role showcased her comedic timing and earned her considerable acclaim, establishing her as a rising star in the UK television landscape. Her performance in “Some Girls” was pivotal, as it not only highlighted her acting prowess but also resonated with a younger audience.

Adedayo continued to build her career with a role in the 2014 film “Gone Too Far!” where she played the character of Paris. In 2015, she appeared in the critically acclaimed television series “Unforgotten,” playing the role of Bella Cross. Her performance in this drama series added another layer to her diverse portfolio, demonstrating her ability to handle more serious and complex characters.  Her role in the 2017 series “Timewasters,” where she played Lauren, a jazz musician who travels back in time. This role earned her widespread recognition and showcased her dynamic range as an actress.

More recently, Adedayo starred in the 2020 series “The Capture,” where she took on the role of DC Chloe Tan. Her performance was both nuanced and impactful, contributing to the series’ success. She will be playing Dionne in the superhero television series Supacell. Throughout her career, Adelayo Adedayo has received several nominations and accolades, underscoring her talent and dedication to her craft.
