He studded at Christian Brothers College, Cork. Walley became interested in drama and theatre studies, attending classes at the Gaiety School of Acting and the Cork School of Music. Chris made his debut in 2016 in Peter Foott, film The Young Offenders. The film was the fastest Irish film to break the €1 million mark at the Irish box office. For his performance on the film Chris managed to bag 3 awards one sharing with his duo Alex Murphy. His projects did stop there he later was casted in a stage play in 2018 at the Noël Coward Theatre. For his performance in The Lieutenant of Inishmore he received positive Reviews from TimeOut London and The New York Times.
