Devrim Lingnau is a German-Turkish actress born in Mannheim, Germany. She made her debut in 2014 in the true crime series “Aktenzeichen XY… unsolved!”. Her mum is German and her dad is Turkish. She grew up bilingual. Devrim studied ballet and went to the Academy of Dance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim. She studied art under German artist Ulla von Brandenburg.

Lingnau made her acting debut in 2014 in the German interactive television program Aktenzeichen XY… ungelöst. From 2014 to 2015, she appeared as Yasemin in Bavarian Radio’s young adult mystery series Fluch des Falken, as well as on the children’s channel KiKA. She played Aleyna Kara in the 2017 German television miniseries Under Suspicion: Lost Security by ZDF and Arte. Lingnau featured in an episode as Tonja in the series Die Kanzlei episode “Kinderkram”.
She starred in the 2019 British film Carmilla in which she played the title role. in the German TV film Borga she starred opposite Christiane Paul as her daughter. She was on the Netflix series The Empress, She took on the title role of Empress Elisabeth ‘Sisi’ von Wittelsbach
